The
Ranch o’
Spooks Rogues Gallery
In early
autumn of 2006,
all of the frenzied preparatory activity attracted a curious (if
somewhat
annoying) spirit.
“Ann” showed up
one day and
took over a corner of the graveyard, making her presence felt with her
shrill
moans, eerily glowing eyes and palsied spasms of trembling.

Occasionally,
another denizen is seen haunting this domain - “Dead Eye
Dick.”
So far, He has only been seen haunting Rancho
manor, but there’s no telling if and when he may break free to spread
fear and
terror among the unsuspecting!

Prior
to 2006,

The
remains of notorious Highwayman and Pirate ”Stoney
Dwight” were recently
found and laid to rest in “Restless Thorn”
Cemetery. Infamous in bygone years for
lying hidden in wait and pouncing on defenseless victims, it appears
that
someone or something finally caught up with him, leaving only his
moldering corpse;
may he rest in peace…

Erik (the 12’
tall, tree
hugging demon with glowing eyes) stands guard over the main pathway to
Rancho
Manor.

Morticia, the
original denizen of the
Rancho haunt, is once again back to prey upon unsuspecting trespassers. Her ravenous progeny also lurks here and
there in remote corners of the cemetery.
It
is rumored that this sinister family’s voracious appetite and venomous
sting is
responsible for the overpopulation (and restless nature) of the local
graveyard.

Lucretia (Morticia’s
arch nemesis
and half
sister) is once again trying to move in on the
Rancho
territory. There may be trouble
brewing between these
two gigantic black widow spiders.

It’s not really clear whether Boris the bat is
the hunter or
the prey for such giant arachnids.
Based
upon the seismic disturbances and spine chilling noises coming from
some of the
graves in “Restless Thorn” Cemetery, it seems likely that many of the
past
denizens (victims?) of the Rancho haunt may be returning once again
this year,
including:

Drop Dead
Fred
Eddie
One Eyed Jack

Benny

Harpo

Norm!
(Leering

Phil (Spectre)

Granny
And
everyone’s favorite improperly disposed of cadaver:
Trash Can
Charlie!
It
is unknown how or why these undead creatures congregate (and return)
every year
to this seemingly calm location on Rancho Way in peaceful Petaluma,
California. It is rumored that some
otherworldly or sinister forces may be at work.
Minor Imps and gargoyles have been spotted cavorting among the
tomstones
from time to time, but nothing more…
One
rumor has it that a rogue magus may be performing powerful works in the
vicinity. Another claims that during the
practice of magick, some form of demon may have been summoned as a
familiar and
improperly bound… It may never be fully
known.
